SEO/Online Advertising Tips and Tricks
Google Adsense
The common statement I hear from clients is why they would want to run Google Adsense on their website when it basically provides links of competitors to be advertised on their own site, ultimately creating an opportunity for a visitor of your website to travel onto another site.
The answer is that Google pays you back for that click-through to another site. If you are speneding money on SEO for your website, Google Adwords, or any online advertising, set-up a Google Adsense account and put the ads on your page. Whatever money you get back from your Google Adsense can be put right back into your pocket, or put right back into your next months advertising costs.
Adsense can really pay and it is worth it. Most people visit a website and do not stay longer than a few minutes, unless they are truly looking for something. Make some money on random web searching!
When Fill Space IS NOT a good idea
If you are adding content to a site, just for fill space, it is better left empty.
Nobody wants to read boring content that does not have a meaning and is clearly just there to be there.
Find an interesting topic that has some substance, do some research, and write about it.
Even if it is a topic that is directly involved with your business, write something that will interest and captivate a reader.
As stated within the SEO Content section of this site, writing content just for search engines and not for actual readers is non-effective marketing.
A few quick steps to build content for:
- Step 1: Getting yourself listed on search engine browsers
- Step 2: Bringing the visitor into your website
- Step 3: Actually keeping that visitor on your website searchign further.
Click throughs into your website are worthless if there is no reason to stay on the site.
